Art Statement
I am a self-taught artist whose captivating works focus on the dynamic movements of landscapes. By incorporating volume and texture, I have successfully transitioned from figurative art to semi-abstract paper clay paintings. My goal is to showcase vibrant colors and rhythmical compositions through my plein air creations, effectively capturing the essence of nature.
Artist Biography
Since 1982, I have participated in approximately 60 group exhibitions across Canada, South Korea, and New York. Notably, I have held ten solo exhibitions, including “The 8th” at the NY Cosmos Gallery in Chelsea, New York, in 2023. I has continuously held solo exhibitions, showcasing my work six times in Ontario from 2012 to 2025, as well as three times in Seoul, Korea, from 2005 to 2009.
In 2024, I moved to Ottawa, where I continues to explore my artistic journey and I am currently a member of Arteast Ottawa, Urban Sketchers Ottawa and the Ottawa Plein Air Painters, collaborating with fellow artists and engaging with the community.
